The goal of the TAPS (Teens and Police Service) ACADEMY is to reduce the social distrance between youth and law enforcement. In this program, Upper Darby Police officers will work with teens to help them develop the tools they need to reach success and achieve their goals. It's an opportunity for the youth to gain skills and knowledge about a variety of topics including safe driving, first aid/CPR, conflict resolution, crime prevention, and more. Through this very interactive program, teens and officers will gain valuable insight about each other and the issues they each face on a daily basis. This program is open to youth in grades 7-12. It will occur in person at the Municipal Library from 4:00 pm - 7:00 pm on the second Wednesday of the month . Masks are required. Topics for specific dates are listed below.
