All Upper Darby Library locations are members of the Delaware County Libraries system. To get a library card you can visit any Delaware County library location and fill out an application. Applications are now available in a variety of languages. Feel free to print out an application and bring it with you or ask at the desk for a particular language. Who can get a library card?
All Delaware County residents are eligible for a library card.
Where can I use my card?
A Delaware County Library System library card can be used in any of the 28 member libraries in Delaware County and in most public libraries in Pennsylvania, through Power Library.
What do I need to get a card?
Adults must present current identification, which gives both their name and address in Delaware County, PA. The following will be accepted:
photo identification, such as a driver’s license
a rent receipt
utility bill
apartment lease
Can children get a card?
There is no minimum age for obtaining a library card; however a parent’s signature is required for persons under 18.
What if I lost my card?
Please report the loss at once to any member library. You are responsible for materials taken out with the card until the card is reported lost or stolen. The library charges a fee of $3 for a new card.
