The Sellers Branch accepts volunteers in middle school (7th - 8th grade) through high school (9th - 12th grade) and under 18 years old.

This program is wonderful for students needing volunteer hours for school and/or those looking to help out in the community. Teen volunteers help with materials and programming prep, assist during programming in the children’s library, and help keep the Children’s Library looking nice!

If you are interested in becoming a Teen Volunteer at Sellers, please stop by the Children’s Library to pick up an application. If you have any questions, please call Mrs. Mock at 610-789-4440.

Looking for leadership opportunities? Want to get more involved in your community?

Sellers Memorial is looking for motivated teens to help shape the programs at our branch.

Applications are available at the Children's Circulation Desk, or by emailing Teen Librarian Lee at yaservices@udlibraries.org, and will be accepted on an ongoing basis until all spots are filled.

Teens in grades 8-12 for the '23-'24 school year are eligible to apply.

Meetings are held on Mondays, 3:45-4:30pm.

Our Teen Advisory Board (TAB) is a volunteer organization of 30+ middle and high school students who dedicate themselves to making the Upper Darby Municipal Library a great place for teens and children.

TAB plans programs, does fun activities, raises funds for events, develops leadership skills, does community service, shares ideas about how to improve the library for all teens, and contributes in a positive way to both the library and Upper Darby community.

TAB meets on the first Saturday of the month from 12:00 pm - 2:00 pm throughout the year.  Additional meetings/gatherings are held to plan programs and do activities.

Every year we hold a Fall Fest in October, Winter Wonderland in December, Spring Fling in April, Summer Fun at the Library Kickoff, and Summer Fun at the Library Celebration.
